This short video walks you through what happens before, during, and after your FiberFirst installation so there are no surprises on install day.

1. What happens on the day of my installation?

A FiberFirst technician will arrive during your scheduled appointment window to install the fiber line, set up the necessary equipment, and confirm your service is working before leaving.

2. How long does installation usually take?

Most installations are completed within 2–4 hours, depending on your home’s layout and access to fiber.

3. Do I need to be home for the installation?

Yes. An adult must be present during the appointment to provide access and approve equipment placement.

4. Where will the fiber and equipment be installed in my home?

Your technician will work with you to select the best location based on signal performance, power access, and your preferences.

5. Will there be drilling or modifications to my home?

Minor drilling may be required to bring the fiber line inside. All work is performed professionally and with care.

6. What equipment does FiberFirst provide?

FiberFirst provides the fiber modem (ONT). Router options depend on your selected plan and service area.

7. Can installation be done in apartments, townhomes, or multi-story homes?

Yes. Some properties may require additional approvals or coordination with property management prior to installation.

8. When will my service be active after installation?

In most cases, your FiberFirst service is activated immediately before the technician leaves.
